AHI-Nigeria dedicates new housing complex at Ile-Ife
The post-medical education housing complex at Ile-Ife Seventh-day Adventist Hospital in Nigeria was dedicated July 7, 2006.
Adventist Health International-Nigeria officially opened and dedicated the new wing of the post-medical education (PME) housing complex at Ile-Ife Seventh-day Adventist Hospital on Friday, July 7, 2006.
The PME housing complex houses post-graduate training doctors (interns) of Ile-Ife Seventh-day Adventist Hospital. The new wing includes six suites that were formerly single units, but after expansion now include a small kitchen and bathroom. This was done because there was a great need for the doctors to have self-contained quarters. In addition, the new wing is wired for 3ABN and the Hope Channel and is equipped with wireless internet access.
The ground-breaking on the housing complex expansion began more than two years ago.

Dare, chief executive director of Springtime Development Foundation; Pastor Joseph Ola, president of the North-Western Nigeria Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists; and Pastor Olatunji Olaofe, secretary of the West Nigeria Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
"Without the financial support of our donors, we would not be in existence and this housing complex expansion would not have been possible," says Jason Lohr, MD, full-time missionary physician at Ile-Ife.
Those in attendance at the dedication were leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria, including Pastor Joseph Ola, the president of the North-Western Nigeria Union Mission; Pastor Olatunji Olaofe, secretary of the West Nigeria Conference; and Elder E.O. Dare, the chief executive director of Springtime Development Foundation. The ceremony included contributions from the above named individuals and culminated with Pastor Ola cutting the ribbon and dedicating the building with prayer.
"We thank the North-Western Nigeria Union Mission, the West Nigeria Conference, Springtime Development Foundation, Dr. and Mrs. Ajoke Ajumobi, the Columbia Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and multiple other donors for their prayers and financial support of the PME program," says Dr. Lohr. "Our doctors in training are extremely grateful to the donors who made this a reality."
